Matcha Pancakes
Matcha is a special kind of powdered green tea, traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Matcha is unique in both appearance and taste compared to other types of green tea. Matcha green tea powder can be used in a multitude of recipes such as smoothies, cookies, pancakes, mousse cakes, lattes, ice creams and so on.
Today on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to make something special for breakfast and hence, I made some delicious Matcha Pancakes! Simple and easy, yet healthy and full of energy, these pancakes will definitely brighten up your mornings, especially those weekends when you just want to sleep in and prepare something quick and delicious for brunch.
Recipe:
The quantities of ingredients mentioned below would be enough for around 12-14 pancakes. It also depends on how big you choose to make them.
Ingredients:
- 5 Eggs
- 1 Tbsp Matcha Green Tea Powder
- 6 Tbsp Rolled Oats
- 2 Ripe Bananas
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- Chocolate Chips
- 1 Tbsp Olive oil
Method:
Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and then blend together using an electric hand blender.
Place small quantities of this mixture on a non-stick pan and cook with butter or olive oil.
Serve with honey or any additional toppings of choice.
Do try this out and share your thoughts with me. See you!
